Complex Elite Healing Spell
A lot of skills are not simply beneficial but come at some cost, blackout being the first that comes to mind. So I thought of a spell to heal but not be overpowered. Using the animation of meteor, Heaven's Falling Star (elite) would drop a rock on target other ALLY, and in turn give them knockdown 1 sec and a deep wound (or maybe dazed or cracked armor) for 10-5 seconds, BUT heal them for say 50-200 plus an additional 1-5 health regeneration for 5-10 seconds. It would be a powerful heal, but at the cost of being... well, hit by a meteor.
Balance the skill to cost 15, cast in 3 and recharge in 20 (or whatever happens to be proportionate with such a busy skill, maybe even cause exhaustion), and it would make an interesting heal spell. This skill would have 4 or possibly 5 different things happening (heal, regen, condition and kd, +-exhaustion), which is more than the vast majority of skills, save maybe blessings and avatars, so it is probably too much happening at once. Just an idea I had when I got hit by Meteor with Mark of Protection on.
Just think... getting hit by a rock from GOD!

Word of Healing heals for more, doesn't knock down your ally, costs less energy, doesn't cause exhaustion, takes less time to cast, and has a shorter recharge. Bad skills are bad.

Then increase healing to give it more appeal and function as a spike heal that can function all on it's own. Somewhere in the 400 range, roughly double WoH.

The thing is, Blackout is incredibly powerful and worth the cost.
your skill.... kinda sucks. WoH is better in every single way.
Big heals that take 3 seconds to cast won't save anyone, and no-one is gonna run a heal that hurts someone as well.

There would be no need of that and would completely unbalance PvP play. There is already a spike heal infuse health and healing prayers are fine skill wise.

You make it seem too bad. It would be like this.
Falling Prayer Star
Elite Skill. A heavenly star falls from space, hitting target other Ally. Target ally is knocked down and begins burning for 4...1..0 seconds. Target other ally is healed for 120...370..410 health. (Attribute: Healing Prayers)
1 cast time. 10 energy. 10 recharge.

A heal that causes knockdown, interrupts your ALLY, deep wound which in turn heals them 20% less for 200 health AND 15 energy for a monk? That's not a bad idea!

Also, I don't PvP at all so I unintentionally meant for this to be a skill geared more toward PvE

I don't want to be mean or anything, but I'm sorry, its a pretty fail idea; there are already plenty of good elite heals that don't have any downsides. However, if it makes you feel any better, even if this was the most /win idea ever, it still wouldn't get made into a skill, as anet's basically said no new major content for gw1.

I like the fact that u can drop a rock on ur ally, but the skill itself is pretty much useless. Like the fact that it heals for 400 health but takes 3 secs 2 cast, the point with mass heals like that is 2 prevent spikes, but withing those 3 secs ur ally can get spiked at least 5 times xD
WoH all the way, cheap energy cost, fast recharge and cast AND it heals for alot.
But if u want the best spike heal, just go Healer's Boon and Arcane Mimicry on a diff monk with WoH. MASS HEAL :P

I'm so gonna use that on a warrior with no healing prayers and stonefist insignia, just to piss off some party members. KD + Burn owns.

Awesome, all mesmers/rangers will love the enemy monk having this on their bar.
It saves them the need to interrupt!
